Indian Prime Minister Meets Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi

Modi holds talks with Chinese Diplomat Wang Yi in New Delhi; stresses the need for robust cooperation between the two countries.

On Tuesday, the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, held a meeting with the Foreign Minister and high-level official of China, Shri Wang Yi, in New Delhi, highlighting the significance of enhancing ties and expanding cooperation between the two Asian giants. The director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, Wang is also visiting India to participate in the 16th Meeting of the BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security.

During the meeting, Modi stressed on the long history of interactions between the two civilizations, who had enormous contributions in the global arena.

In his remarks on the occasion of the upcoming BRICS presidency by China, Modi underscored India’s dedication to strengthening cooperation among the members of the bloc and to its ongoing evolution and progress.

Both nations are trying to improve the relationship and deepen their cooperation in multilateral platforms like BRICS in the backdrop of changing regional and global dynamics.
